Fencecapades

Ok so I was supposed to have at LEAST half of a fence yesterday...instead all I got was some neon orange construction markings...sigh...oh well we have waited a little over a year I guess one extra day isn't going to kill me.  I'm a little sad though because it will be up today and it will be dark when I get home so I won't really get to see it until in the morning!!

I am so excited though because the fence will be up for the weekend and tomorrow my Nellio gets to have a slumber party weekend with her friend Sugarbear!!

This is Sugarbear (sorry Beka I had to borrow a pic):

If you aren't familiar, Sugarbear's parents are The Former President of the United States Andrew Johnson and The First Lady Beka Roberts Johnson, they are really lucky and get to go for a weekend away, but they have made Nellio's whole weekend because they are letting Sugarbear stay with us!

I am sure there will be many puppytales by the time Sunday gets here, including "Adventures in the FENCED Backyard!"

Also this weekend we get to babysit my cousin's son Davis while she goes for a much needed ladies night out! Davis just turned 1 this past Sunday but he still looks like he is about 9 months old, he is a little guy.  He has no idea what he is in for either!  He gets to play with 2 puppies instead of one!  He loves dogs so this should provide some good laughs!

All right, time to go do some work.  Tomorrow is Friday and I am ready to go!!

What I've been thinking...

O.k. so I know, I have been Brittney the Lazy Blogger...but I am back at it!  I just hate to waste blog space with boring...

So had Book club with my favorite ladies this weekend and did a little Bachelorette throwback night this weekend!  It was so fun!  These ladies just rock!  We challenge each others ideas and make each other laugh and oh yeah....we read a book too!  Ha!  We read "Committed" by Elizabeth Gilbert.  Though I admit I have still not quite finished (got behind and its too good for a speed read ending!) I have really liked this book.  I love witty, straightforward writing and I think that is what you get here...thumbs up from me if anyone cares to check it out!

Also, the First Lady brought us picks for our new book and I am VERY excited about our choice.  It's call "The Secret History" by Donna Tartt.  It looks might interesting...will let you know!

Altogether it was a very fun weekend filled with people I love!

So other things on my mind today:  Have you ever had a friend you just love to death but they are eternally stuck in a holding pattern?  I have one of those right now!  I just do not know how to tell this person that the only person causing them problems is them!!!!   Anyway, I have determined this is basically an exercise in futility because no amount of me encouraging is going to make them deal with their issues with them self...yet I keep trying because I keep hoping one day the self loathing, fear, and excuses will stop holding them back...sigh....just needed to get that one out there!

People, don't let YOU get in the way of what you want and need to do for yourself!  Stop making excuses, just get out there and go for it!  I know it's hard, I look in the mirror every morning and tell myself to deal with how things are now or change them!  I choose change daily!

Anyway enough of me ranting!  Have a wonderful day!  Go out and do something for yourself!

Jinxed

Wow Monday, WOW!   Could you rear your ugly head in a little less dramatic fashion.  I get to work today to find out that one of our employee's mother's past away over the weekend and ten minutes later I get a phone call that one of our employee's past away...I mean REALLY...that is know way to start a morning.  So with a prayer in my heart, let's have a moment silence.

This is EXACTLY why President's Day is supposed to be a National Holiday...period.  Sigh....here's to my favorite Former President of the United States and his little Mrs. on this day we remember president's...

Well at 11 am I can say I am ready for some serious Mexican food tonight...and maybe an afternoon movie...we shall see....more to come when I am not so weirded out!

Really self?

So yeah, reading yesterday's post and I realize I just had a poor spelling day!  Shame on me!  Sorry folks, I will strive to type well today!

Not much is going on today...GO GRIZZ, for one, Los was wonderful and filled with friends as usual, "get" to go to the ob/gyn today...that's everybody's favorite!  All around pretty normal day.  Oh except where I came to work and there was a water puddle on my desk because the office roof is leaking...eh...no bigs.

OH!  So the mother in law is coming to town on Thursday.  That should be fun!  Plus she always helps me make Super Bowl food EXTRAVAGANZA happen, so excited about that!  Also, we are sewing the curtains for the house so...look for that awesomeness to show up soon...man....cooking, sewing, soon I will be a house wife extrodinaire!  Also yea for 3.5 day weekend!

Ok enough blabbering!  Tomorrow holds new stories I am sure!

Showers and showers of babies....

Wholly moley friends...I can no longer count on my two hands the number of ladies I know who have or will be having a baby in the next few months!  It is just CRAZY!   Anyway, went to baby shower #1 of the seeming 200 on Sunday.  It was very fun.  It was a couple's shower, which I actually think is good for babies since it takes two to make one!  I made my very first BOY diaper cake for this shower and I think it turned out pretty well!!!   Check it out:  Diaper Cake for Grayson Michael Meredith!

Awe.....yea frogs!  Erin (the mama) really like airplanes but they just were NOT working with me so...Frogs!  I think they are precious!!!
Also this weekend, Nellie and Dinah were in the closest proximity that I have EVER seen them...I am 99% sure it's because Nellie was eating and so distracted from trying to heard Dinah....but I got pics as proof!!

One eating, one drinking water!  Now if only Nellie could maintain the lack of chasing the kitty....I mean really, it's not even helping my big fat kitty lose weight!

Lastly and sadly, looks like my parents are most likely moving....oh the sorrow!  Oh well Colorado last hurrah will be AMAZING!!!!!
